American Economic Association Announces New Ombuds Member and other News

New Ombuds Team Member at MWI

The AEA welcomes Brent Epperson to the AEA Ombuds Team.  Dr. Epperson, who will replace current Ombuds member Larry Hunt, brings ten years of ombuds experience in North America and Europe. He is an Assistant Professor of Conflict Studies at Saint Paul University in Ottawa, Ontario, and a practicing ombuds.  His public policy work focuses on ombuds practice, public governance (health and higher education sectors), and issue framing.  For more information, visit www.mwi.org/dvteam/brent-epperson.

Upcoming MWI Workshops

The Ombuds Team provides workshops to AEA Members that are designed to provide information, skill development, and tools relating to conflict management and the Ombuds Team resource.  Upcoming workshops include the following:

Thursday, May 16 - 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. ET
“Conflict Management for Leaders (Chairs, Advisors, Directors, etc.)”
Tuesday, June 11 – Noon to 1:00 p.m. ET
“Skillful Collaboration”

AEA Reporting Lockbox at MWI
